Parkhead Housing Association were delighted to see Mary McPherson award the 3rd Mary Barbour Award at a fantastic event held at the Glasgow Concert Halls on Friday 17th August. Mary is a very active community member and has been involved in many areas that promotes Kinship Care issues, campaigning for equality and access to services and supports.  Mary has spoken on behalf of Kinship for years including the impact of alcohol & drugs on families, particularly children.

She is a Director of Calton Heritage & learning Centre.  Her community is very important to her hence the reason why she is actively involved and has been recruited into the roles she holds. Mary is also on FASS Board as a Director which meets on a monthly basis where she plays an active role in overseeing the strategy of the organisation.
